The entire NEOTERRA® range was transitioned to silica-free across 2024 and 2025. Every colour is independently laboratory-tested (SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd (Xiamen Branch), report XMIN2403000334CM01_EN, 15 March 2024), returning no detectable crystalline silica. Because those results sit below the 1% threshold the engineered stone prohibition uses, every slab we supply today sits outside that ban.

What Australia’s engineered stone ban means
From 1 July 2024, work with engineered stone — defined as products containing at least 1% crystalline silica — is prohibited Australia-wide: no manufacturing, supplying, processing or installing. From 1 January 2025, importing it is also prohibited. The ban exists because cutting high-silica stone releases dust that causes silicosis in the workers who fabricate it.
Surfaces below that threshold sit outside the ban. That is not a loophole — it is the point: remove the crystalline silica and the hazard the ban targets is gone. NEOTERRA® was developed as exactly that — a mineral-based surface with the look of natural stone and no detectable crystalline silica.

Is NEOTERRA® legal under Australia’s engineered stone ban?
Yes. The ban covers engineered stone containing at least 1% crystalline silica. NEOTERRA® returns no detectable crystalline silica — verified by independent laboratory testing — so it sits outside the prohibition and can be supplied, fabricated and installed Australia-wide.
Is NEOTERRA® genuinely silica-free?
